WP:NOTNEWS and that this has an articel here 2010 Texas earthquake which is also up for deletion, so this may in fact be a fork. There appears to be no reason why this eqarthquake is more notable then any other magnitude 4.0 in Texas or elsewhere Slatersteven (talk) 12:48, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment. The other AFD is here. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 13:25, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Delte per WP:NOTNEWS. I couldn't find it, but aren't there specific notability guidelines for earthquakes? I recall seeing that mentioned after the Haiti earthquake.--137.122.49.102 (talk) 20:27, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. I am the article's creator, and although the magnitude is 4.0, earthquakes of any magnitude in South Texas are rare, and the ones that do happen are rarely felt and are rarely of this magnitude. The fact that it was felt and occurred in an area where earthquakes rarely occur means it is notable and should be kept.Av9 (talk) 21:28, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- There would be nothing wrong with writing a general article about earthquakes in Texas. Atypical events can, collectively, be the subject of a Wikipedia article, such as List of snow events in Florida. Mandsford (talk) 23:40, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per nom. Yet another non-notable earthquake. Justmeagain83 (talk) 03:36, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep. While it's not unambiguously notable, there's enough press coverage to suggest it qualifies as marginally notable. Everyking (talk) 03:12, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. WP:NOTNEWS covers it. Niteshift36 (talk) 14:28, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
